Power is the first installation question

Trace the cable route before ordering. Include any adapter or connection that needs protection, and do not assume the camera enclosure rating applies to everything in the box. Arrange suitable installation if the location needs new power.

Aim for a useful scene

Choose a view that includes the approach to the door without filling the frame with sky, road traffic or a neighbour’s window. Review a night clip after installation; daytime framing alone does not tell you whether faces are identifiable.
