Fit the airflow path, not only the screen size
Before buying, inspect where your laptop draws in cool air and where it exhausts heat. Compare the underside layout and footprint with the pad's foam seal. Screen diagonal alone cannot show whether the support surface will line up with your vents or feet.
Plan the connections
The cooler uses its own power adapter; the USB connection serves the hub and software setup. Leave space for the power lead and your laptop's existing cables. Confirm current software requirements on llano's download page if automatic control is a deciding feature.
Compare under the same workload
If you try this pad, compare the same game or work task at the same room temperature and laptop settings. Note fan noise as well as temperatures. We have not measured cooling gains, frame rates or noise; manufacturer demonstrations are not results for your laptop.
Make sure the listing says Ultra
llano sells similarly named V12 models. This profile and ASIN refer to V12 Ultra. Check the selected model and package contents before ordering, especially if you need software control rather than only manual fan adjustment.
